Khatta meat is a flavourful, spicy and sour mutton dish. I totally love this curry, especially during the winter season. This hot and spicy gravy tastes best. If you love spicy food then this is for you.
Khatta meat curry is very easy to cook and this curry is spicy and tamarind is a very important and main flavouring ingredient in this dish. The taste is even more increased when you use meat with bone, as all know meat bone adds taste to curry which is true in this dish.
Ingredients:
1) mutton 1/2Kg
2) Oil - 3 tbsp
3)Onion -1
4) Curry leaf
5) Tomato - 3
6) Salt to taste
7) Tamarind juice
8) Coconut paste - 2 tbsp
9) Water - 250ml
Curry Preparation for gravy:
1) Red chilly powder -1 tsp
2) Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
3) Coriander powder - 2 tsp
4) Cummin powder - 1 Tsp
5) Black pepper - 1 Tsp
6) garlic clove - 10
7) Curry leaf
Grind all are ingredients together to make a paste add little water if needed.
Method for preparation:
- To pressure cooker to add oil, once it gets hot add onion and salutes well for 30secs.
- Then add curry leaf and saute well.
- Now add curry masala to it and cook for a minute.
- Add meat and mix well.
- Then add tomato paste and let it cook for 2-3mins.
- Add tamarind juice and salt to taste.
- Then add coconut paste and water 250ml.
- Close the cooker lid and cook for 8wistles and then at low flame for 10mins(dhum).
- Tasty and spicy mutton curry is ready.
