Today I would like to share an interesting recipe which is mutton pepper gravy/curry. Name itself make the Lister mouth watering isn't it.
As all know black pepper has got amazing medicinal value and it's healthy to have this sort of gravy in cold seasons makes then taste out of the world.
Here, I have used black pepper powder with some routine spices that goes with mutton gravy to bring out the spicy flavor. This sort of spicy mutton pepper gravy is preferred in South Indian cuisine. I have used green chilly as well to get that spicy touch.
As I said before these kind of mutton pepper gravy/ curries taste really good during cold winter / monsoons for lunch with rice or for dinner with chapati.
All the ingredients used in this mutton pepper gravy are flavour increasing and perfect for winter and monsoon seasons.
Ingredients:
- Mutton - 1/2 kg
- Oil - 3 Tbsp
- Cinnamon stick - 1
- Cardamom - 1
- Ginger and garlic paste - 2 Tsp
- Black pepper powder -2 Tsp
- Cummin powder - 1 Tsp
- Tomato 4
- Salt to taste
- Mint leaf
- Green chilly - 1
Direction for preparation:
- Take cooker add Oil, Once the oil get heated, add Cardamom and Cinnamon stick.
- Then add onion and saute for 30 sec at high flame.
- Now add Ginger and garlic paste, saute well for a minute.
- Add Black pepper and Cummin powder.
- Then add meat and chopped tomatoes.
- Now add salt to taste, mint leaf and green chilly and 200ml of water.
- Cook for 6 whistle then at low flame for 10 minutes.
- Enjoy the spicy gravy and soft meat with chapati, rice or Dosa.
